Hazeen Qadri 1926 – 1991

Hazeen Qadri was a Pakistani Punjabi poet who wrote many beautiful blockbuster hit songs in Pakistani Punjabi movies made in Lahore’s film industry (Lollywood) during the 1950’s to the 1970’s. He was born in a small village Raja Tamoli near Gujranwala in 1926. His real name was Basheer Ahmad. He could not complete his education beyond the Primary School level due to poverty.

Hazeen Qadri got his first big hit song for the 1955 movie Heer. Over the next 20 years, he was a popular and very busy songwriter.
